Oberlin Ecumenical Carol-Sing hosted by Peace Community Church

Dear Friends in Faith,

The Oberlin Ecumenical Carol-Sing, December 22, is fast approaching! The program will include initial caroling in downtown Oberlin followed by a Sanctuary service in Peace Community Church. We invite you to participate in one or both of the activities!

Ecumenical Carol-Sing Schedule of Events

3:15-3:30 P.M. Those who choose to carol out-of-doors will meet at the flagpole on Tappan Square.

3:30-4:30 P.M. Outdoor carolers will carol in Oberlin’s downtown. A route will have been established and song booklets provided for outdoor carolers.

5:00 P.M. All outdoor carolers and others will meet in the Peace Community Church Sanctuary for the Sanctuary Service.

Parking lot guidance and elevator assistance will be offered (the parking lot is behind the church: the elevator is at the back of the church). The program will include singing Christmas Carols, reading liturgy, and offering prayer. We will conclude with a candle-lighting experience.

6:15 P.M. Following the Sanctuary Service, all are invited downstairs into the Peace Room for an informal conversation and Christmas refreshments.

Those of you who wish are invited to bring Christmas refreshments - cookies, cupcakes, nuts,

dried fruit, chips, dip, or your creation. These treats can be taken to the downstairs Peace

Room between 4:30 and 5:00 and placed on one of the two prepared tables. At the same time, you need to bring nothing! We want you to come!

ALL FAITHS, or none, are welcome at this ecumenical meeting and songfest. We look forward to sharing, this time of preparation for and celebration of Jesus’ birth.

Grace and peace,
