Leadership & Staff

Pastor Cindi Byron-Dixon

I started attending Peace Community Church about 10 years ago. It was a place where questions were just as important as answers, Social Justice was a priority, and the legacy of harm caused by Christianity was acknowledged and mourned. The leadership there has impacted me in more ways than I can count. When I began a journey of rematriation, or returning to the sacred teachings surrounding my Haudenosaunee ancestry, it was a process that was encouraged and even nurtured. It has been a meaningful journey that is still evolving as I learn and grow. I enjoy exploring my faith and reflecting on the ways it has molded who I am and how I move through my life.

I have been asked to be the next leader at PCC and feel called to do so. I’m humbled and excited, and so grateful to serve my community. I love this place. I want to see us make an impact in our community.

Here are some of the ways I identify myself: mom, wife, auntie, reconnecting Native, feminist, cripple, animal lover, social justice advocate, comedian, occasional potty mouth, baker extraordinaire, and now Pastor.

Keep me in your heart as I begin this new chapter.
